[UPDATED] Temporary Closing and New Reservations on Halt

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our guests for their continued patronage and support for Aoi Hotels and Resorts.

With the ongoing spread of COVID-19 in Japan, we have decided to place the safety and wellbeing of our guests and employees as our top priority. As the situation gets more serious each day, we have chosen to temporarily close all hotels and townhouses. Thus, we will stop taking new reservations starting from April 8th 2020 until May 31st 2020.

The above measures are effective for all properties and rooms of the following Aoi brands:

  • – Hotel: AOI HOTEL KYOTO & AOI HOTEL KYOTO Premium
  • – Machiya: AOI KYOTO STAY
  • – Machiya: AOI Philosopher’s Path Villa

 

Reservations for AOI Philosopher’s Path Villa are still open starting from June 1st 2020 and can be booked through our homepage as normal.

 

  • ※Special note regarding AOI HOTEL KYOTO, AOI HOTEL KYOTO Premium and AOI KYOTO STAY:

As the situation keeps changing each day, please be aware that we might have to adjust the above date depending on future developments and we might have to postpone the re-opening of new reservations to a later point in time. We will inform you as soon as possible in case there will be any changes to the dates listed.

Precautionary Measures in Response to COVID-19

At Aoi Hotels & Resorts the comfort, wellbeing and safety of our guests is of utmost importance.

To guarantee the safety of all guests, we are undertaking the following precautionary measures at all properties to help prevent the spread and possible infection of COVID-19:

 

  1. 1.  Heightened cleaning and disinfection procedures of all guest rooms and houses. We also pay special attention to areas that are frequently touched by multiple people, such as doorknobs and elevator buttons, and regularly wipe them with alcohol-based disinfectant
  2.  
  3. 2.  We have placed alcohol-based hand rub dispensers at our hotel reception desk, which are free to use for all guests. We ask our guests to disinfect their hands every time they leave and especially when they return to the hotel
  4.  
  5. 3.  All staff members are required to undertake regular health measures, such as frequent handwashing and disinfection. We are checking staff members’ condition daily and each member is required to wear a face mask to help prevent the potential spread of the virus
