Precautionary Measures in Response to COVID-19

At Aoi Hotels & Resorts the comfort, wellbeing and safety of our guests is of utmost importance.

To guarantee the safety of all guests, we are undertaking the following precautionary measures at all properties to help prevent the spread and possible infection of COVID-19:


  1. 1.  Heightened cleaning and disinfection procedures of all guest rooms and houses. We also pay special attention to areas that are frequently touched by multiple people, such as doorknobs and elevator buttons, and regularly wipe them with alcohol-based disinfectant
  3. 2.  We have placed alcohol-based hand rub dispensers at our hotel reception desk, which are free to use for all guests. We ask our guests to disinfect their hands every time they leave and especially when they return to the hotel
  5. 3.  All staff members are required to undertake regular health measures, such as frequent handwashing and disinfection. We are checking staff members’ condition daily and each member is required to wear a face mask to help prevent the potential spread of the virus

Aoi Hotel Kyoto awarded Michelin 3★+, 4 years in succession

We are happy to announce that with the release of the Michelin Guide 2020 ( Kyoto – Osaka) Aoi Hotel Kyoto was awarded three red pavilions in the category of hotels. Just like last year, our hotel was given a rating of “Very comfortable” with the color red indicating establishments with particularly pleasant atmosphere, customer reception and level of service.

We are more than happy to share this honor with all of our guests and friends who supported us since the establishment of Aoi Kyoto Stay in 2011. It is thanks to your constant support, loyalty and warm feedback that we were able to attain such a renowned rating for two years in succession.

Even though we take great pride in our Michelin rating, we will keep improving our work and efforts in order to provide our guests with even better high-quality service in the future.
