《Reservations, Cancellation, Price》

Shall I have to pay any additional cost besides the accommodation fee?

Room Rates displayed include taxes and service charges. If you do not order breakfast or make any special requests, no additional cost will be incurred.

How far in advance can I make reservations?

All of our townhouse and rooms can be booked beginning 6 months in advance. If you plan to stay for more than 3 nights (3 nights included), we can accept your reservation exceptionally, please contact us by email or by phone.

If I cancel my reservation, will I have to pay any fee?

In the case you decide to cancel your reservation, we will refund you based on our cancellation policy, which is as follows:

No cancellation fee for reservations cancelled more than 14 days before check in date,
30% if cancelled 8-14 days before check in date,
50% if cancelled 2-7 days before,
80% if cancelled 1 day before,
100% if cancelled on the check in day or in case of no show.

However, please keep in mind that we can only refund the money back to you in Japanese Yen and since we can not control any changes due to currency exchange these differences will not be refunded. Please accept our deepest apologies in this matter. Besides, in some case you may have to wait for 2 months for having the money back to your account.

《About check-in/ check-out/ fees》

When can I check-in?

【Townhouses】Check-in can only be arranged between 14:00-18:00.

Our staff will welcome you at the townhouse which you have reserved at your scheduled arrival time. Please let us know your scheduled arrival time via email or phone by the day before. If you would like to change your scheduled arrival time, please kindly notify us by email or phone call.

【Townhouses】Check-in is available from 14:00-22:00.

Please come to our front desk for check-in.

When shall I check out?

Please check out before 11:00am. If you would like to have late check-out, please inform our staff in advance, we will offer you late check-out as far as possible.
However, sometimes late check-out is not arrangeable, we hope for understanding in this matter.

Can I stay at your facility for more than two consecutive nights?

Staying consecutively is highly welcomed. We will arrange the house keeping task upon your needs and schedule. Besides, we also offer discount rate for long-term stay, please consult us if you need for information.

《Meal provided and other service》

Can I cook in the room or townhouse?

We provide a kitchenette in all of our rooms and townhouses with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and water boiler, whereby you can reheat prepared foods. We can also prepare the inductive cooker and pot for you upon your request. However, regular cooking is prohibited because of fire prevention.

If you need restaurant recommendations, please feel free to consult us.

Dose accommodation fees include dinning expenses?

Dinning expenses are not included in accommodation fees. Upon your request, dinning services- the delivery of breakfast and the catering of lunch or dinner from our partner restaurants - are available
(reservation needed, charged service).

Can I send my luggage or parcel to the townhouse or hotel in advance?

You can definitely send your luggage or parcel to us ahead of your arrival, we will keep it well and move to your room or townhouse on your check-in day. Since we do not arrange staff at townhouses all the time, please send your luggage or parcel to the below address which is our main office.

《About your stay in Aoi》

Do you accept a group of more persons than a quota?

In principle, we do not accept such groups to maintain the quality of services.

Can I invite my friend to our house or room for visiting?

Because of the safety concern, please do not bring non-residence guests to you room or townhouse without informing us in advance.

Can I have a party or activity at your facilities?

For not affecting the life of our neighborhoods and other customers in hotel, please do not hold any party or activity at our facilities and do not speak in loud voice at night.

In case of change to reservation, such as the number of members, what shall I do?

Please let us know as soon as possible for our preparations. In case of an increase in members, you will be required to pay additional fees. In case of a decrease in members, corresponding fees will be refunded.

How about bed-making?

In principle, the futon bed is prepared in advance so that you can go to bed any time after arrival. If you want to make a futon bed yourself, please make a request at the time of booking.

Can minors book and use your facilities?

A group of only minors cannot book or use our facilities. Minors shall be accompanied by guardians.

Can I find the detailed location of the facility on websites?

For security reasons, the exact locations of our facilities are not given on the websites. Upon the completion of reservation, the map showing the exact location will be sent to the representative person by e-mail or by fax.

Can I bring my pets?

We are very sorry, but pets are prohibited in our facilities.

In case of emergency, with whom shall I contact?

Emergency contacts will be given to guests upon check-in.

《About Facilities and Equipment》

Do you have a parking space?

You are requested to use a toll parking lots near the facility. Aoi Shinmachi has a free parking only for one vehicle. Please consult us at the time of reservation for information of nearby toll parking lots if you would like visit the facility by car.

Can I park the bicycle or motorcycle at your facilities?

Since there is no parking space for neither bicycle nor motorcycle, please kindly do not visit the facility by bicycle or motorcycle.
Besides, if you plan to do cycling sightseeing in Kyoto, please park your bicycle at assigned place, otherwise your bicycle may be impounded by Kyoto City government.

Can I smoke inside your facilities?

Smoking is prohibited in all the facilities. We are very sorry for your inconvenience. Your understanding would be greatly appreciated.

Do you provide internet or Wi-fi at the facilities?

We guarantee high-speed Internet accessibility, and a Wi-Fi network is also available.

Is a refrigerator available?

The refrigerator is installed in all the facilities.

Do you provide heating equipment in the facilities?

All the facilities are equipped with the air conditioner. Also, for townhouses, the floor heating is also installed, please do not worry. If you feel cold after check-in, please contact the staff. We will prepare additional heating equipment for you.
